What is an electric vehicle (EV)?
An electric vehicle, or EV, is a vehicle powered by an electric motor using electricity stored in rechargeable batteries. USTROM e-bikes are all-electric — they run purely on battery power with zero tailpipe emissions.
How do electric scooters work?
Electric vehicles use an electric motor for propulsion. USTROM scooters use a powerful BLDC hub motor that converts electrical energy from the battery into mechanical energy to drive the wheel — smoothly and silently.
Do I need a driving licence or RTO registration for a USTROM e-bike?
USTROM e-bikes are low-speed electric scooters, so you do not need a driving licence, RTO registration or a PUC certificate to ride them. That also means no fuel cost and very low maintenance.
How far can a USTROM scooter travel on a single charge?
Range depends on the battery pack, load, road and riding style. The Affair+, Selfie Neo, Liberty and Liberty+ go up to 100 km per charge with the 48V × 45Ah pack (up to 70 km with 60V × 32Ah). The Oreva Alish, Adidev and Aarieyana offer around 50–60 km per charge.
How long does it take to charge?
Charging time depends on the battery size and charger used. USTROM batteries support fast charging and can be charged from a standard household socket at home — just plug in overnight and ride in the morning.
Where can I charge my electric scooter?
You can charge at home or at work using a normal electrical outlet. No special charging station is needed. USTROM scooters also have a mobile charger / USB port to charge your phone while riding.
Are electric scooters suitable for Indian weather and roads?
Yes. USTROM e-bikes are designed for Indian roads with strong body frames, tubeless tyres and waterproof parts. Extreme heat can affect battery life, so park in shade where possible and follow the charging guidance from your dealer.
